MSN Messenger Plugin
How hard would it be for the developers to create a plugin or something for MSN Messenger? Or other private messaging clients?
That way, we can see when friends are online in GW using Messenger, without having to actually run up the game each time?
Just a thought.

I actually use Steam and all my friends add Guild Wars to the Steam games list (as a shortcut) and when I'm on Steam friends, I actually see what they are playing.

Aren't Msn Messenger names usually email addresses? That wouldn't be good as far as potential acct stealing. Wouldn't this stuff also open the door to spam content in the game?
